360° social awareness campaign
The Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois“ approached BAAS DIGITAL to develop a 360° breast cancer awareness campaign, a project that excited us. We developed the concept “Checked Up” with a sharp and… attention-grabbing slogan, based on the understanding that among the many checks women perform in their daily lives, they can include the one check that can save their life. The campaign “ran” during October 2023, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on television, radio, social media and public transport, with a presence in every… corner of information!
It was launched with a large banner and a photo booth on the grounds of the Zappeion site during the two-day event “Greece Race for the Cure®”, which was attended by 44,000 people. Many of them rushed to have their picture taken and spread the message of the importance of being “Checked Up”. The launch was followed by:
– TV and radio adverts on 24 TV and 50 radio stations.
– Outdoor advertising on most transportation modes and metro stations in Athens, and bus shelters in Thessaloniki, Patras, Volos and Heraklion.
– Information leaflet with advice on the medical exams that every woman should have, distributed to workplaces, communities, and institutions throughout Greece.
– Social media posts on the “Alma Zois” Facebook and Instagram accounts, with an average organic reach of 4000 unique users per post.
– A newsletter was sent to >30,000 people achieving an open rate of 47.64%. In addition, articles were published on 40 websites and special features appeared in 6 publications.
The campaign was honored at the Indie Awards 2024 with a Silver award in the category Best in Campaigns – Not-for-Profit, Charity, Social Messages, and carried on into 2024 for a second year with refreshed creatives.
